Supervision & Control

Builds supervision, dive-site management, briefing, debriefing, risk awareness, and emergency readiness.

Knowledge & Practice

Includes professional-level knowledge development, practical leadership training, and technical-diver supervision practice.

Open Water Dives

Minimum Four open-water dives are required, with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes. Usually 6-8 dives.

Classroom / Briefing

Minimum classroom and briefing time: 10 hours. Usually 10-15 hrs

Duration

Approx 6-8 days total.

Environment

This program does not cover overhead environments, except advanced wreck where appropriate to the candidate's training.

Standard small-group training

Standard small-group training is available once the course reaches the minimum number.

One-on-one training is available for divers who want focused coaching, flexible pacing, and dedicated support.

Prerequisites

Minimum Age

Minimum age 18.

Certification

Certified as an SDI Divemaster. Equivalent ratings from other agencies are not accepted for this TDI Divemaster prerequisite. Candidate must have all current SDI Divemaster materials.

First Response & Oxygen

Current certification as First Response Adult and Child Emergency Care Provider, or equivalent, and Oxygen Administration Provider, or equivalent where allowed by local law.

Medical

Current diving medical signed by a licensed physician within the required currency period.

Logged Dives

Proof of 50 logged dives.

Technical Diver

Certified as a technical diver.

TDI Technical Divemaster

What's Included

  • Required TDI Divemaster academic materials and professional-level knowledge development.
  • Briefings, debriefings, dive-site management, in-water leadership development, and technical-diver supervision practice.
  • Certification processing after successful completion, including submission of the TDI Divemaster application to TDI Headquarters.
  • Required open-water, supervision, and leadership evaluations completed to instructor standard before certification.

What's Not Included

  • Personal equipment such as fins, mask, snorkel, boots, and exposure protection. At this level, candidates should normally own suitable personal equipment.
  • Travel, accommodation, and meals if required for dive site locations.
  • Hard copy student manual. Manuals are available to purchase.
  • Anything not specifically listed at the time of booking.
