Dive Club Membership FAQ

Do I need to be a certified diver to join?

Yes. Club Membership is designed for certified divers who are ready to take part in member activities, guided and non-guided diving, and organised local opportunities with the appropriate experience and readiness.

Does membership include boat dives?

Membership gives you access to selected club-member boat diving opportunities, subject to scheduling, availability, conditions, and the suitability of each diver for the planned activity. Individual dives are offered on a fair cost-share basis to help cover operating expenses such as boat use, fuel, travel, insurance, and maintenance.

Will I need to complete any forms before guided dives?

Yes. Certified divers taking part in guided scuba tours are required to complete the relevant membership, waiver, medical, or participation documents before attending. This helps ensure that each dive is planned and conducted with appropriate safety, suitability, and readiness in mind.

Can members under 18 join or participate?

Yes, where appropriate. Any club member under 18 years of age must have all required membership forms, waivers, medical declarations, and participation documents completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian before taking part in guided dives, club-member boat dives, or any other club activity. Participation remains subject to the suitability of the activity and approval by the supervising instructor or dive professional.
