Computer Nitrox Diver
Course code: SDI-05
A premium specialty course covering enriched-air diving with computer-based planning, oxygen exposure awareness, gas-analysis procedures, cylinder labelling, and nitrox computer programming for mixtures between 22 and 40 percent oxygen. No open-water dives are required for certification, but students must analyse nitrox cylinders, log at least one analysis, and program a nitrox computer correctly.

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent.

Course Format
Learning Materials
Academic-only course using the SDI Computer Nitrox Manual and Knowledge Quest or online course.
No Dives Required
No confined-water or open-water dives are required.
Practical Requirements
Students complete nitrox analysis, cylinder-labelling, log-entry, and nitrox-computer programming requirements.
Exam Requirements
Students must achieve at least 80 percent on the Knowledge Quest or online final exam, with 100 percent remediation.
